HUNGRY FOR GOD ALONE

I am struck by the diet of Christians. So many hunger for things they believe are good. Few, though hunger for God alone. I watched the Transformations 2 video - the transformation of the eastern Arctic's precious Inuit people into a fervent Christian people - a bonfire burned heavy metal music, porn, and all the other emblems of a diseased society; the transformation of Uganda, which through the preaching of abstinence, now has 20% of the people born again and an adult AIDS rate of 5% when a rate of 33% was predicted by secularists; not on the video, but in America, the transformation of a noble people into one addicted to filthy movies, spineless defeatist politicians, selfishness, coarseness, and largely powerless religion. The difference? Two nations hungered for God alone, beset by deep social evils and spiritual wickedness; the third, ours, even in the churches, hungry for self-actualization, selfish ambition, and religious primacy. America, you too can become like Uganda. Will you humble yourselves and pray???
