I have a current events message of this title online -  Hit LISTEN RIGHT NOW and it is number 130 in the KERI folder.

Many are looking to back to the way things were - what was considered normal.
- Hugging your grandkids.
- Not dodging everyone to be 6' apart
- Enjoying watching or participating in a sports contest.
- Being in a crowded concert, play, or church.

Who wants to watch returns of last year's golf tournaments?
Who wants to sit in a church at 25% of capacity that resembles some dying denominational church?
Who wants to talk to everyone from six feet away?
Who wants to telecommute?
Who wants to be on a video call with their doctor and pay the same?
Who wants never to dance?
Who really wants to go to college or school online?
Who wants to get married six week in front of a judge and blow kisses from six feet away?
Who wants to die and have 10 people at their funeral?

Yet, what was common before was not all good -
Men preoccupied with tons of sports contests leaving their wives and children to fend for themselves.
Women wasting time gossiping.
People hooking up with strangers.
Sexual deviancy was accepted.
Churches mostly ignored the New Testament pattern of I Corinthians 14 and mimicked the world.

Not one based upon the degrees of would be dictators.
Not one based upon flimsy science.
Not one simply reverting to what went before.
We need to keep the good and throw out the bad.
We need to have church the way god ordered it.
We need to allow the Holy Spirit to live through us and conform us to the character of Christ.
The should be The New Normal, not just life as it was.

Can I get an "Amen"?
